Elyned Ashcroft is a specialist Agricultural Lawyer.
She gained an Honours Degree in Law at Leeds University and qualified as a Solicitor in 2004. Since then has practised in Cumbria dealing exclusively with all aspects of Agricultural Law. Elyned has particular expertise in common land and commons rights, farm sales and purchases, farm tenancies, property disputes, farming partnerships and all livestock related matters.
Elyned lives on a Cumbrian hill farm with her family where she breeds Fell ponies and keeps a flock of sheep. Though now retired from showing Fell ponies her family's herd is renowned and their ponies have been exported worldwide.
Elyned's knowledge and love of the law and her wider, first hand, experience of farming matters enable her to immediately grasp the issues facing her clients and to deal with them effectively and innovatively.
Whilst Elyned is based at the firm's Kirkby Stephen Office she is equally happy to see clients in the Penrith or Appleby offices or to visit their premises where necessary.
