Claire is a Solicitor, qualifying in 2021 and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, qualifying in 2004,  and a Commissioner for Oaths. She is based at our Penrith office and specialises in wills, estate administration (including those with an international element,  taxable/non taxable estates and those involving business or agricultural relief issues), Inheritance Tax planning and Court of Protection work involving Lasting Powers of Attorney, Registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney, living wills and Deputyship Orders.

In addition, Claire is an Accredited member of the Solicitors for the Elderley and a freelance tutor for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She is committed to elderly client work and is happy to meet with client's in their homes recognising that it is not always practical or appropriate for a client to be able to attend the firms office, and she can provide out of hours and Saturday meetings, strictly by appointment.

Outside of work, Claire is a keen fan of Celtic Football club, Moto GP and Formula 1 motor racing. She is also very proud to support Eden Carers as a trustee and she regularly provides support and advice sessions for local carers.
